Employee of the Month Winner – April 2021

BY david

We continue our Employee of the Month series in which we celebrate achievement and recognise the hard work our incredible staff put into ending homelessness.

April’s winner is our Council Tax Officer Bobbie Owen, who since joining has been a fantastic asset to the business, bringing her wealth of experience and insight, honed previously while working at Enfield Council. Her strong work ethic and infectious personality have already enhanced the role and led to new procedures being implemented that will help the Company serve its clients more effectively and compassionately.

We spoke to Bobbie to get to know a bit more about her and what was behind her success.

Congratulations on winning the May Stef & Philips employee of the month Bobbie. How did you feel it feel to win?
It was a shock as I haven’t been at the company for long. It just goes to show that hard work is recognised at Stef & Philips.

What are your day-to-day responsibilities at S&P?
Looking after all the council tax accounts for Stef & Philips and ensuring all councils are kept up to date with all tenant’s information. Helping tenants access the correct support and help with Council Tax Bills.

How has your previous experience helped you to be successful in your current role?
I have worked in various roles and have a local authority background where I have worked closely with council tax and benefit departments, so this helped me understand the council’s internal process. I also have experience in Emergency

Accommodation Services this helped me understand how Stef & Philips works and the important service they provide in the community.

What are you most proud of in your work at Stef & Philips?
Implementing new processes on how accounts are effectively managed and preventing delays, therefore our tenants receiving the correct support as quickly as possible this then relieves stress and hardship worries.

Any exciting development in the pipeline?
I have recently had a promotion and will be developing a team to implement the same processes and procedures across the whole utilities department and have it working as one team with council tax.

Congratulations Bobbie, keep up the good work.

Stay tuned for our May winner…
