We continue our Employee of the Month series in which we celebrate achievement and recognise the hard work our incredible staff put into ending homelessness.

October’s winner is our engineer Kypros who is a vital part of our Maintenance team and is on-hand to fix any issues that arise in our properties. This covers a broad range of potential issues and requires a high level of problem solving and flexibility. In both cases Kypros regularly excels; he is efficient, organised and knowledgeable in addition to being polite and courteous to our service users. What sets him apart is his consistent willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty. It is something that has not gone unnoticed and he is to be commended for.

We spoke to Kypros to get to know a bit more about him and what was behind his success.

Congratulations Kypros on winning the October Stef & Philips employee of the month. How did it feel to win? 
Thanks for this, I feel grateful for the acknowledgement, it’s very exciting

What are your day-to-day responsibilities at Stef & Philips? 
My responsibilities range from dealing with any maintenance issues that arise throughout the day to ensuring that our properties are maintained to the highest standard for our tenants

How has your previous experience helped you to be successful in your current role? 
Throughout my engineering career, I have interacted with vulnerable people through councils and homelessness organisations, which enabled me to develop the skills and tools to effectively manage our tenants

What are you most proud of in your work at Stef & Philips? 
I am proud of how well the Maintenance Team operates on a day-to-day basis and how we integrate effortlessly to service the needs of the organisation. The Maintenance Team are particularly close and in constant communication with one another. We work collaboratively to share information and expertise to solve any issues that arise with our properties.

Any exciting developments in the pipeline?
I am excited by the growth of the company and the direction we are going as a team; as the business grows so do we and I am eager to see what the future holds.

I just want to thank everyone for the acknowledgement, it validates my hard work and dedication to the role.
