Stef & Philips is delighted to announce the launch today of The Stef & Philips Foundation, the charity created to provide additional support by way of grants to individuals and families living in temporary and emergency accommodation.
Grant support will initially focus on London, as the area identified as having the greatest current homelessness need. Grants will take the form of either project grants up to £2,000 or individual grants up to £200 and could be used on anything that enriches the lives and needs of the people involved, for example clothing, cooking essentials, courses to support physical or mental health, bedding or play equipment.
The inaugural project of the Foundation, the #Toysforjoy appeal, has focused on collecting toys for more than 400 children living in temporary and emergency accommodation this Christmas time. The campaign has been a huge success thanks to the generosity of donors, friends and suppliers, and Stef & Philips are excited to be handing out the gifts to children at on-site events later this month!
Stef & Philips has witnessed first-hand the devastating impact of homelessness on adults and children and are immensely proud to launch the Stef & Philips Foundation. Figures released last week show that once again homelessness figures continue to climb, with a recorded 139,000 children living in temporary accommodation at the end of June 2023, a 14% increase from last year, and a new record high.
